Welcome to Volunteer Services at Newport Hospital
Volunteer services at Newport Hospital is honored to have people of all ages and backgrounds volunteer with us. Our volunteers support our hospital staff by enhancing the overall patient experience and by providing supplemental assistance in many areas throughout the hospital.
We are always looking for qualified, caring people with an interest in health care to join our team in volunteer services. We seek to match your availability, talents and interest with the needs of Newport Hospital.

Requirements
Volunteers at Newport Hospital must:
- Have completed sophomore year of high school to be eligible to volunteer. Learn more about opportunities for students.
- Complete and submit the volunteer application form to Volunteer Services.
- Serve a minimum of six months, two to three hours per week.
- Provide an updated immunization record and complete a mandatory hospital health screening.
- Attend mandatory hospital-wide safety training.
- Participate in a criminal background check if they are 21 years of age or older.
