Mi Gente Professional Team
Our trained and certified staff has a personal understanding of the Latinx/Hispanic culture and is uniquely qualified to integrate mental health services that are tailored to this community.
Yovanska Duarte-Velez, PhD, a bilingual clinical psychologist with extensive expertise in treating Latinx/Hispanic youth and families, serves as clinical director of the Mi Gente program. She has well-established connections to Latinx/Hispanic community organizations.
Gisela Jimenez-Colon, PhD, also serves as a bilingual clinical psychologist at the Program. She has ample training and experience working with Latinx youth and their family who have been through traumatic events.
