Pediatric Orthopedics Team

Hasbro Children’s Hospital has the only pediatric surgical unit in southeastern New England staffed by board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists and pediatric surgeons. Using a multidisciplinary team approach, we offer the latest diagnostic and treatment options to provide family-centered care to our patients.

Our team includes orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physical and occupational therapists, specialized nursing teams and other physicians who work together to provide integrated, expert care that is unique in our region. We also offer care by social workers, child life professionals and a pediatric psychologist, as needed. We have an on-site pediatric pharmacy and offer ancillary services such as school tutoring, child life activities and family support groups.

Education and Research

Hasbro Children’s Hospital is the pediatric division of Rhode Island Hospital, which is the principal teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Our physicians are faculty members of the school, where they train the next generation of orthopedists and engage in groundbreaking research to develop new and more effective treatments. The hospital’s ongoing involvement in education and research ensures that our patients receive state-of-the-art treatment and have access to important clinical trials.
