About the Rhode Island Burn Center
The Burn Center at Rhode Island Hospital, the only accredited burn center in the state, employs trained professionals and advanced technology to provide superior care to each patient. The center's comprehensive wound care services include:
- Positive pressure and temperature controlled rooms
- Climate controlled and physiologically monitored burn shower
- Circulating air heated mattresses
- Standard and advanced burn care products
In addition, the center provides:
- Advanced ICU care
- Rehabilitation therapy
- Comprehensive outpatient care
Our care is comprehensive through all phases, from injury, beginning with stabilization and acute care, through reconstruction and rehabilitation, to final recovery. We also provide care for patients requiring complicated wound care and patients with major skin disorders.
