The purpose of the program is to provide an update on state-of-the-art acute stroke evaluation treatment as practiced at a comprehensive stroke center.
This symposium will be held at the Providence Marriott Downtown and also live streamed via Zoom.
Rhode Island Hospital has the oldest comprehensive stroke center in New England and is a high-volume academic medical center that provides care for patients with acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage. In this program, participants will be exposed to a variety of disciplines including stroke, neuro-interventional radiology, emergency medicine, stroke nursing, advanced practice care, and neurorehabilitation. The goal of the symposium is to enhance the care of the stroke patient in Rhode Island and the wider New England region.
