Daniella Palermo, MD, is a psychiatrist at Rhode Island Hospital where she sees patients in the Adult Partial Hospital Program. She is an advocate for underrepresented communities and young adults facing socioeconomic and cultural challenges to mental health care.
Dr. Palermo is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is the curriculum director for the university’s general psychiatry residency program.
She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Brown University, where she served as chief resident, and earned her doctor of medicine degree from SUNY, Upstate Medical University, New York.
Dr. Palermo is a contributing author for Clinical Sleep Medicine: A Comprehensive Guide for Mental Health and Other Medical Professionals, and the Psychiatry Resident Handbook: How to Thrive in Training. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training.
