Derek Jenkins, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, and completed his residency in general and orthopedic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, and a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Jenkins is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He specializes in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee, with a special interest in direct anterior total hip replacement, gap balanced total knee replacement, partial knee replacement and revision of failed/ infected joint replacements.
